Robyn Rhodes | Nordic Interval
December 4 - 20 . 2026
Opening Reception | Saturday December 5th from 2-4pm
Robyn Rhodes, born in 1970, grew up around instrument makers who used woods of amber-hued warmth evocative of the interior design of that era. His father, David Rhodes, was a luthier whose craft he observed at great length. His stepfather, Jeremy Adams, built harpsichords and pipe organs; and Robyn worked alongside him for several years after graduating from the Landing School of Boat Building and Design. The acumen amassed during this time has most recently—since early 2026—begun to bear a new kind of fruit. When a search to buy an archetypal wooden lamp built with the craftsmanship from his early life ended without success, Robyn endeavored to recreate it from photographs. After doing so, he has been refining his methods and expanding on the original Scandinavian pendant lamp, most closely akin to the work of Swedish designer, Hans-Agne Jakobsson. Robyn works out of his small shop in Round Pond, Maine. His designs are produced under his company name BaltiKraft.
